Virtual Leadership: Successfully Leading from a Distance
The following is one of my favourite quotes that captures the transformation that organizations
are undergoing due to the rapid growth of virtual work: “work is an activity, not a place. The
mindset that work is a physical location is a tough one to change, but it is a concept that some
people and organizations are starting to understand. The combination of monumental
advancements in technology, the more technically‐savvy generations X and especially Y now
prevalent in the workforce, globalization and increased demands for flexibility have led to
virtual work becoming widespread.
